	Rathmullan House - On the shores of Lough Swilly is a beautiful 32 bedroom old country house set amidst mature trees, lawns and rose gardens which open out to a golden beach on the sea at Lough Swilly - a few short paces from the front door! Built as a summer retreat for the Knox family 200 hundred years ago, it now welcomes visitors from all over the world in award-winning style.  They relax in its elegant lounges, enjoy first-class Irish cuisine in the Liam McCormick-designed restaurant, and explore the glorious scenery of Donegal. 	They wonder at the setting: seven acres of beautifully-tended grounds fringed by a two mile long sandy beach.  The indoor heated swimming pool and steam room are a great way to relax after a holistic massage or game of tennis on our all weather tennis courts.   The charming village of Rathmullan is on the doorstep, the wonderful scenery of Donegal is all around. Our visitors tell us they love the food. The kitchen, under the direction of head chef Ian Orr, wins awards and praise from leading food critics. So we find our best form of advertising is word of mouth from guests who tell others about Rathmullan House Hotel and the reasons why they enjoy their stay so much.
